KCC Buy With Confidence Scheme

Harts of Maidstone are members of the KCC Buy With Confidence Scheme. As office furniture retailers since 1989, we believe in providing a reliable and honest service. All staff are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked and have been accepted by the scheme to carry out work within business premises and private homes.

What is it all about?

Buy with Confidence (BWC) is a scheme set up to provide consumers with a list of reputable local businesses committed to high standards of trading. It is open to any business with premises in the area covered by Kent County Council.

The scheme is run by Trading Standards Services across the south east and there is a Buy with Confidence website with an online trader search.

How does it work?

Trading Standards Officers vet businesses for trustworthiness and to make sure they comply with consumer protection laws. Only traders that pass stringent checks are accepted on to the scheme and are able to display the Buy with Confidence logo.

Approved businesses will be constantly monitored by Trading Standards to ensure their standards remain high and customers are asked to give feedback.

 Finding a trader

There is no charge for consumers using the scheme. You can Find an approved trader on the online list or call Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 to request a printed list.

KCC Buy With Confidence Results-1st April- 30th September

Once again we are very happy with the feedback from the Trading Standards Feedback Forms. Our only negative comment is that we suffer from lack of parking. We do have parking spaces behind our premices which you can find directions to on the 'FIND US' section of our website, but unfortunatly some customers are unaware of this and park in town to walk to us as they can see we have no parking outside the front of the store. We also try to inform customers of parking directions if they contact us by telephone first.

KCC Buy With Confidence Results- 1st Aug- 1st October 2010    

We have been KCC Buy With Confidence, Trading Standards Approved since August 2010. We have just received our first results from KCC customer feedback forms returned to the scheme. Results are from 1st August - 1st October 2010. Each and every customer is provided with a feedback form, although regular customers are asked to complete forms once every three months.
